We have some exciting news to share! In partnership with the County of San Luis Obispo Health Agency, we provided 20 Makeshift Travelers to serve their unhoused population.
Pictured here is Thomas, who has been unhoused for three years. Due to the ‘nature’ of San Luis Obispo’s homeless population, often residing in rural areas, it can be extremely challenging to keep a phone charged. There is plenty of sun, though.
After he received his Makeshift Traveler on February 16th, just a month later, Thomas was able to maintain a consistent connection with his case manager and enter into a housing unit. Our Makeshift Traveler was integral in helping Thomas and others maintain connection and have a reliable place to keep belongings. Congrats to Thomas! ❤️
