Thanks to a grant from the John W. Porter Trust and the Matson Company, The HomeMore Project has partnered with the City of Long Beach to deliver over 100 Makeshift Travelers to the unsheltered homeless community in Long Beach. The city is broken up into four key divisions: East, West, South, and North. This week our team partnered with the city of Long Beach to visit the East and West divisions. It was a rainy morning, but we delivered about 15 Makeshift Travelers to people unsheltered along the Eastside of the Los Angeles River Bed. It was amazing to meet new people and share our Makeshift Traveler with those who we met. The next distributions will take place in the coming month, and we hope to continue our partnership with the City of Long Beach in the future!
