We’ve officially placed a purchase order for 1,000 units of the new Makeshift Traveler 5.0. This all-black edition builds on the original solar-powered backpack by offering people experiencing homelessness more reliable phone charging and practical daily support. With an upgraded 10,000 mAh battery, each pack helps keep people connected to job applications, caseworkers, medical contacts, and loved ones. The slimmer outer shell creates a sharper silhouette, while the black exterior makes the design more discreet for everyday use. Reflective detailing adds night-time visibility, and the larger pillow offers added comfort when rest is needed. Through outreach distribution, these 1,000 packs will help HomeMore continue providing practical, dignity-centered support to the communities all across California.
