New Grant Awards for our Makeshift Traveler: John W. Porter Trust & The Bridge Association of Realtors

We are thrilled to announce two significant grant awards that will propel our Makeshift Traveler program to new heights. The John W. Porter Trust has generously contributed $5,000, which will directly benefit 50 Makeshift Travelers in the Long Beach area. This support is a beacon of hope, providing essential resources to those navigating the challenges of homelessness.

In addition, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Bridge Association of Realtors for their $2,500 grant, dedicated to supporting 25 Makeshift Travelers in Berkeley. These funds will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals facing adversity, enabling them to embark on their journeys with renewed strength and stability. We plan to partner with the Dorothy Day House in Berkeley late November to complete this distribution.
