Day 1: Makeshift Traveler Distribution Begins!

Meeting Leonard (middle) and Austin with his dog Kogi

We are happy to share that Leonard and Austin, with his dog Kogi were the first two recipients of our Makeshift Traveler!

The HomeMore Project Team chatted with Leonard and Austin for over an hour. We gathered their touching stories, and both will be the focal point of a CBS Story released in the upcoming weeks.

Leonard and Austin’s contact information were obtained, and we are still in contact with them. If you would like to donate to Leonard or Austin personally, please click the button below and write “Leonard” or “Austin” in the comment when making your donation. You can certainly donate to Kogi, Austin’s dog, as well!

Meeting Michael

Michael was the fifth recipient of our Makeshift Traveler. He was sitting right here, journaling, when we approached him, and he was overwhelmed with emotions. We sat and chatted with Michael for just 15 minutes, but in that short time, we shared the unique features of our bag and, most importantly, how we would help him beyond this short-term aid.

Michael’s email was obtained, and we are still in contact with him. If you would like to donate personally to Michael, please click the button below and write “Michael” in the comment when making your donation.

CBS Reporter, Itay Hod with our Distribution Team

We were appreciative to have KPIX 5 CBS Reporter Itay Hod with us to document our distribution launch. While writing this post, the CBS Report has yet to air on CBS, but as soon as it does, we will link it to this post and update it with the appropriate links.

Itay does a wide variety of short films for CBS, and the two-minute thirty-second click is expected to air in the upcoming weeks. You can view some of his stories here.

A big thank you to Itay Hod and CBS for highlighting the fantastic work that The HomeMore Project is doing! We will update here once the CBS Story is live!
